Let’s get the ball rollin’!

Table of contents:

First things first. What is Pixelfy?

Pixelfy is an online URL shortener designed to take link management to the next level. On the platform, you can shorten, create, share and track powerful branded links for every form of communication or advertising.

The software tracks your URLs by embedding a retargeting pixel into every single one of your links. That means you can use the tool to impact anyone who clicks your link on Google, Twitter, Facebook, and more.

On the link management front, Pixelfy allows you to do just about everything:

  • Shorten long URLs

  • Brand them with your domain and slug

  • Create as many tracking links as you need

  • Keep track of all your clicks in real-time

  • Cloak affiliate links so they look like internal links

  • Manage all your tracking links from one platform

  • Retarget customers and perform A/B tests

  • Run ad campaigns and optimize content marketing

  • Redirect customers and rank higher in search results

Shorten & Create Tracking Links

The first and most basic thing you can do on Pixelfy is to shorten your long URLs. Take any URL – no matter what size (it can be over a hundred characters long) and transform it into an easy-to-remember short link.

You can either use the Fast URL Shortener from the top of the platform or go with our URL Shortener tool that lets you create custom tracking links.

  1. Just paste the long URL you want to shorten

  2. Give it a custom name

… and there you go! Your short link is ready to be shared!

If you want to go the extra mile with short tracking links and make the most of each one, then you can also use our advanced settings:

Personalize links with your domain & slug this will significantly increase trust in your links and lead to a higher click rate. All because your branded links will be easier to remember and people who see your links will always associate them with you.

Customize your social sharing thumbnailthanks to Pixelfy, you can control how your links will look when being shared online.

Just upload a unique image of your choice and write a personalized SEO title and description. Now, every time someone shares your tracking link on social networks (like Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter) it will look the way you want it.

Add a tracking codesee what users do after they click on your short links and track your online marketing campaigns using different tracking codes.

On Pixelfy, you can store as many codes as you want in your links. Pixelfy lets you add codes from Facebook, Google Analytics, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and TikTok Pixel.

Whenever a tracking code is assigned to your link, anyone who clicks on it will automatically be tagged. This is an absolute must if you’re planning on retargeting users back to your website, blog, or product.

Set an expiration date or click limitit’s totally up to you to decide when your branded URL will expire. You can set up a different date or click limit after which the link will expire. Or, you can let it run forever – without any expiration date.

Enable UTM Tagsadd different UTM parameters to the end of your URLs to identify where your traffic is coming from.

On Pixelfy you can set all five UTM parameters recognized in Google Analytics:

  1. Campaign Source: Used to identify the source of your traffic.

  2. Campaign Medium: Used to identify the medium used to share and access your link.

  3. Campaign Name: Used to identify a campaign or promotion tied to your link.

  4. Campaign Term: Used for paid search campaigns to track relevant ad-based keywords.

  5. Campaign Content: Used to determine what someone clicked on to get to your site when multiple links are pointing to the same URL.

Hide referer — can easily replace the original referrer URL with your short link so that the destination owner cannot determine the source of the traffic.

Enable GDPR Consent — Pixelfy also allows you to add a GDPR consent to your links. This is a way to ask for consent to use your users’ data. Valid in the European Union. Non-compliance with these norms can cost you heavy penalties.

Turn on mobile deep links — this is extremely useful when it comes to improving the user experience of shoppers or site visitors who access your product site from their mobile devices.

When enabled, this feature allows the link to be opened in the mobile app (if installed), or directly in the browser.

Rotate URLs & Perform A/B Tests

Let’s suppose you’ve created and shared your tracking links. But how do you know which one generates more traffic and ranks the best?

To help you find out the performance of your tracking links Pixelfy allows you to rotate up to 50 different URLs using just one link.

Pixelfy+Link+Rotator

Our URL Rotator allows you to send viewers to different web destinations using a single link on your page. Not only does this ensure that you’re marketing similar products adequately, but it also means that you get a wider spread for your clicks.

This is especially helpful if you are performing A/B tests for your links or if you are trying to get your customers to your different websites without the hassle of pasting several links on your page.

Manage all links & clicks from one dashboard

Say goodbye to spreadsheets and lots of data management platforms. With Pixelfy you can easily measure the performance of every tracking link you create and get real-time data from a single dashboard.

It takes all the data that you’ve collected and aggregates it into easy-to-read charts and graphs. Moreover, it gives you a high-level view of the most commonly tracked links and clicks and shows you in-depth marketing metrics.

Just like the dashboard car shows you all you need to know about your car (how fast you’re going, if you need to check the engine, etc.), the Pixelfy dashboard gives you all data you need to see how your tracking links are performing and tells you if you need to make some changes:

  • Unique clicks versus the total clicks

  • Clicks by geographic location

  • Organic share clicks

  • Clicks by city/region

  • Top-performing links

  • Top clicks by browser type

  • Clicks by device type (computer or mobile device)

Besides this, you can also group your tracking links into unique campaigns. This is extremely helpful when you’re running different series of paid advertising on multiple channels, and you need to track all clicks and data from these specific ads.

Let’s say you’re running an ad campaign on Facebook and Google at the same time. Grouping all Facebook-related links into a single campaign will allow you to track all the data from that particular campaign and track its performance without losing a single lead.

Retarget Back Visitors & Customers

One of the key benefits of using tracking links is getting detailed statistics about everyone who clicked on your links. But what do you do next with this data?

Exactly! You retarget them back!

Thanks to Pixelfy’s retargeting tools, you can target audiences who already visited your site and engage with them with relevant ads that they are more likely to click on.

Simply put, this allows you to pixel people that are going from your social post to someone else’s site (and there are a few similar applications). It’s perfectly legal and allowable, and honestly, it serves additional value to your audience (assuming you continue to serve them well and not just relentlessly spam them).

Use Geo-Targeting — the ability to redirect viewers to relevant traffic depending on their geographical location — in particular, identifying what country and region they are in.

Enable iOS & Android Targeting — to redirect mobile users to specific tracking links depending on their operating system. This allows you to send your iPhone users to iPhone-specific links, and send Android users to Android application downloads.

QR Codes — yep, that’s right, QR Codes! For every single URL you create through Pixelfy, you can automatically generate a unique QR Code. This is an amazing way to engage offline customers and reach a wider audience.

ReTargeting

Stay on top of your data with Progress Reports

Last but not least, every day, week, and month you will receive detailed reports on all the changes in your link performance and traffic.

This will let you react promptly if something happens and stay up-to-date with all your link and clicks activity.
